OPI Metallic 4 Life from the Nicki Minaj Collection

Tonight I have a swatch of OPI Metallic 4 Life from the Nicki Minaj collection. It's a black polish filled with silver hex glitters and silver microglitter. The name is based off the female rapper's song "Moment 4 Life". Whatever your music preferences may be, Nicki Minaj is on top of her nail style. She always sports long and crazy nails. I really appreciate it when celebrity collections are based off someone interested in the field. Personally, it would really annoy me if OPI pursued celebrities that aren't somewhat interested in nails. Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj were excellent choices in my opinion but don't get me started on the Kardashian collections by Nicole by OPI.

Anyways, this polish is stunning. While two coats provides adequate coverage I tend to apply three coats of polish on my nails. So, the photos below show three coats of polish. I love how some glitter floats on the top while other hexes and microglitter are buried underneath the lacquer surface. It's no secret I love glitters and this is no exception.

Did you pick up any polishes from this collection? I bought this, Did It On 'Em, and Save Me. I know at the moment this Nail Polish world is filled with drama but hopefully time will fade things away so we can just get back to gorgeous lacquers.

OPI Did It On 'Em from the Nicki Minaj collection

Last year OPI partnered with popstar Katy Perry.
This year OPI looked to Nicki Minaj, a bold eccentric
rap star known for a crazy look.

Personally, I really look forward to these collaborations since they usually signify a collection with "less safe" colors.
For me, this collection did not disappoint.
It included green, teal, and pink creme colors as well as two glitters and a shatter.

Today I have pictures of the "green" creme called Did It On 'Em. While it is a green, it is highly yellow toned and reminiscent of OPI Shrek colors though it is different. The actual color is hard to photograph but I picked photos closest to the actual color to include. It is bright but not neon. It took three coats for opacity and did not seem to level out that well.

(very accurate color depiction here)

(not as bright as this)

Did you pick up any of the Nicki Minaj colors? Who would you like to see collaborate with OPI? I picked up Metallic 4 Life and Save Me, what would you like to see next?

On To The Next Polish,
Katie
